Just need some help setting up remote access via modem.
The system is a partner acs r3, with the remote access pc card installed.

What would be the best way to configure access remotely via a modem. OR could you atach a modem directly to the acs, to gain remote access? I've already configured the remote access password.

Thanks

Call into it with PC admin through an external US Robotics modem and get transfered to ext 70. Don't bother trying with any other modem.

Thanks for the info. 76 is the extension. I'm able to get the modem to connect at 14400, but then it says it cannot connect the the acs. I'm using pc administration version 8. is there a default password that needs to be in "remote password", any other suggestions?

I think you need to create a remote password ahead of time in #730. In #730 if it says DATA ---- then you need to create a password.

I've actually tried it both ways. I did have a password set in #730. The modem still connected, but said it couldn't establish a connection with the acs. Then I tried without a password, same problem.
