I have a CMP Call-Extend auto-attendant that I want to pick up after 3 or 4 rings during the day and all the time during the night. The ports on the CMP are extensions 278 and 280.
When I put the system into night mode, it does indeed go to the auto-attendant as it should, but I cannot find in the programming where I would set those extensions up for forwarding during the day.
As a side note, the auto-attendant during the day thing USED to work, but stopped some time in the last year or so.
I realize that 278 and 280 are probably set up as members of a hunt group, then the night ringing is set to ring the hunt group. However, I tried to find where this happens, so I could duplicate the night setup to the day - no success.
I have read through the Mitel programming guide until my eyes are about to pop. Can anyone point me in a direction?

OBTW sounds like he's got it right. The XXX in his example should be the same as the XXX (bits C,D,E) you used in register 5 for the trunk programs (Night service ring to destination).

Okay, here's what I did:
Set the bits on command 100 to 082223161.
From what I read in the manual, command 100, register 08 is the overflow control. I don't think this is really what we want. Here's why I think that:
When an outside line calls in, the console rings for 20 seconds, then goes into overflow, which then forwards to group 161. This is fine except it sets the overflow mode to on, and all subsequent calls drop straight to group 161. When you push the overflow button on the console, you have taken it out of overflow mode, and it works fine for the first unanswered incoming call.
What is desired is a busy/noanswer forward to group 161 that doesn't require the operator to reset the overflow mode each time. Or can the overflow mode be automatically reset each time or after a timeout?
