I have replaced the controller for an ICP in a hotel, and the owner wants to caller ID to work like this: When a call rings in, the caller ID shows up on a 4150 sub-attendant phone, and the console. Both the number and name show up here. When the call is answered, the display shifts to the timer, and the name portion of the caller ID. It seems that it USED to show the number, but I don't recall that. Owner wants to have the number, not the name, show up. Or, both show up after the call is answered. Is it possible?

To program the system to display ANI and DNIS digits on a Mitel display set or console, enable COS Option 502 (Display ANI/DNIS/CLASS Information) in the class of service for the set/console. When COS Option 502 (Display ANI/DNIS/CLASS Information) is enabled, Mitel display telephones show the DNIS digits during the ringing state, and ANI digits during the answered state. To program a Mitel display telephone to show the ANI digits during both the unanswered and answered states, enable COS Option 613 (Display ANI Information Only) in the Class of Service for the set. By default, COS Option 613 (Display ANI Information Only) is disabled. Enable COS Option 504, SS420 Optional CLASS/ANI Display, to display ANI/DNIS information about a call that is forwarded to a SUPERSET 420 telephone (rather than displaying information about the telephone that forwarded the call). To program the system to display DNIS digits only, enable COS Options 502 and 229, and disable COS Option 613. If you want ANI and DNIS digits recorded in the SMDR records, enable COS Option 806 (SMDR-Record Incoming Calls) and COS Option 814 (SMDR-Record ANI/DNIS/CLASS) in the class of service for the trunk.

Just a question why would you want to enable cos option 229 (cov/dnic voicemail port). Enabling that option in a set cos is not a good idea it will make that port of course act like a voicemail port. Also make sure that ss4150 is running the latest firmware by verifying the firmware status in maintenance/system

No idea. Just copied right from the edocs! I'd agree that the COS 229 should have nothing to do w/ the caaled ID display!

I have COS option 502 enabled, and COS option 613 enabled. But I also had COS option 503 enabled. Would the combination of those three interfere with each other? Of course, all these options are enabled for the COS of the phones in question.

Just try it with 502/613 enabled in the sub attendants cos, maybe you can also tell us how is the sub attendant answering the call, is it via a ldn key, multiline key, keyline, prime line etc, and of courcse what type of trunks are they.

These calls are answered via LDN keys, and they come into the system in the built-in CO ports in the controller. They are copper trunks.
