I have an issue with the Mitel super console 1000. To best explain I will give the exact scenerio. If I call room 209, 100, 102 and or room 105 from the console the line immediately disconects, but they can call out with no issue. The main controller unit in back shows no alarms, but the console at the front desk indicates an alarm. I am stuck and new at this. Any help and guidence is greatly appreciated as I wish to learn as much as I can about phone systems and try to expand my knowledge and career.

Can those rooms be called from another extension successfully? Most likely the problem is with the extension ports.

Agree with John. This sounds like it is a 200 digital with some 110 cards in it. The relays go bad on the card and you get what is called "ring trip" - which is exactly what you are describing. John's test is perfect - if you call them from another phone (not the console) and you get the same thing them you have some bad ports on cards.

I agree with both of the previous posts, it sounds like a ring trip issue!! Anyone know where to get them repaired/replaced???????
As far as the word 'alarm' showing on the console, that just means that there are unread logs in the maintenance diagnostics. If something is 'broken', the console would show 'minor alarm' or major alarm'.

Now guys, let us not malign the 110 cards. Yes, they can be a source of ring-trip, but so can the 010 digital ONS cards! smile John C.

Yeah - but 110 cards do it more often - in my experience

Yes, but we need to point that out every once in a while, to keep the 'newbies' from ripping their hair out, trying to figure out, what to us is, the obvious. Something to do with age, I suppose. frown John C.

We used to buy the relays by the dozen & change them in the field. I used a lot of solder & wick in those days.
