Hello everyone,

I am brand-spanking-new to the SX-50 (and all phone programming, for that matter) and this seems to be the place to go to for help.

I work at a motel and I have a cordless phone that I want to use in night mode, but I'm having trouble determining its extension and calling it. When I call the attendent console with the cordless, it comes up as ext. 321. But when I dial ext. 321 from the console, it calls ext. 220. Is this some kind of call forwarding, and how do I de-activate it?

I've learned a little about how to access the cmd function, so I would be able to get you bits if you need them, however I would appreciate a response in as much 'english' as possible. :-)

Thanks for your help.

It would seem that 321 is forwarded to 220. If the Feature Codes are at default try dialing '60321', the feature code for Call Forward Busy/No answer, at extension 321. (This cancels all forwarding from 321 to any other extension.) If that doesn't work try dialing '444', the feature code for "Clear All Features", at extension 321. (This cancels all features in place at extension 321, forwarding, DND, MW,etc.) (None of these Feature codes require going into CMD at the console, they are all done at ext 321) If that doesn't work, tell us. If it does, tell us so we know that we were successful in helping you out. smile John C.

I put in '444' at extension 321 and then gave the extension a call and it worked perfectly!

You did it again, Lightninghorse! And such a quick response! I really appreciate it. My boss is going to be very impressed. Thank you.

After this, I'm guessing I'm going to be in charge of all the phone problems from here on out, so I most likely will be dropping in again for your expertise. I'll try to come up with a harder question next time. ;-)
