I have a 3300 MCD 4.0. I have a Security (Major Alarm) from when I was trying to telnet into the system using port 23. I eventually figured out how to get in, but how do I clear the alarm?

The security alarm is telling you that the username and password have not been changed from default or after a specified period of time.

Thanks for the reply Steve. I tried changing the password and it didn't make a difference. According to the Help Site: "An unauthorized attempt to access the system through port 23 or a DISA trunk has been made. Port 23 is reserved for OPS Manager access. An alarm results when a user tries to login through OPS Manager using the wrong username and/or password."
Which is pretty much what I was trying to do. Does anyone else have any ideas?
Thanks.

Have you tried rebooting the switch?
