I have a new system that I cannot get Hands Free on or off to work. I can get it to work on our demo unit in the office by pressing the feature code 319 but when I get on site it will not work. The customer has 4000 series intertel axxcess sets. Any ideas anyone has would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

If 319 toggles the Handsfree feature, then probably the fones have IC calls no-answer forwarding to voicemail. Do you have access to programming at the customer site?

There are two feature codes which control hands-free intercom.
319 (Hands-free) controls the receive side; it needs to be turned on.
377 (Ring Intercom Always) controls the transmit side; it needs to be turned off.
As Super said, hands-free intercom will not work if the station forward path is enabled for intercom calls.
