Is there an easy way to program an ONS port to select an outbound trunk group (equivalent to pressing 9) without having it to press 9?
Moved analog lines to new carrier, 2 of which are for alarm monitoring...new carrier already botched it up...alarms are beeping every 10 min...receptionist not very happy. I have ready to use wiring from the ONS panel to the alarm box, just need to set ONS to not need a 9.
This is just a temporary fix and its really a backup line.

Set it up as a 'hotline' (Associated Directory Number) to a speed dial bin, that has only '9' as the digits dialed!

Have you tried a separate COS with "Direct to ARS" for that station.

Thanks! I thought the lines would be fixed by now, but they're not so I'll give this a shot.

I have tried the Hotline route before on a 3300 and found that it did go to the outside line but you could not dial any more digits after that so it did not work. The Hotline feature is designed so the user cannot dial a number. In the application that you are talking about I would program ARS with the number that the dialer is programmed for without the "9". You can program any number as a Leading Digit and then the rest of the number without deleting digits.

Found this on MOL
The desired functionality on the 3300 product can ONLY be achieved when using either T1 or Analog trunks. There is no support for ISDN, IP, or SIP trunks at this time.
The following steps are necessary for this functionality.
1-Create an ARS entry which will provide access to the trunk type to be used (T1, or Analog loop start) Eg, 97 as the leading digits with no digits to follow. 2-The digit modification for this route, would then absorb the 2 digits (97) 3-The station who will be using the “direct to ars†needs to be added in the Associated directory form. 4-The directory number is the extension or station in question. 5-The Associated type is programmed as Hotline 6-The Associated number is the ARS entry. For this example it would be 97
When the Station goes offhook, they are connected directly to a T1 channel, and may outpulse to the Central office.
The limitations of this programming are as follows: -Lack of valid SMDR reporting. This may cause billing and call tracking issues. -The inability to use internal dialing from the device. -Call progress tones may be necessary in the ARS digit modification. The call progress tone value is entered in the digits to insert field of the digit modification form. Typically analog trunks generally require a call progress tone in the digit modification form. The action on timeout is typically outpulse default.
