I have a norstar ICS that I got from a customer that went out of business. The config and startup passwords have been changed. Does anyone know how to default the startup password?

I may have been dyslexic when I answered. You might try F**xxxxxxx then enter xxxxxx as the PW. If this procedure does not get you in, try going in as the scplus coord. PW is xxxxxx.

Nope again. Doing a F**xxxxxx never presents a password prompt. Can you remove or short the software cart battery to default all the passwords? I know there has to be a way to return the system to its orignal factory state.

Try this 1. Power down the system 2. Power up the system and press Feature**xxxxxxx within 15 min of power up 3. Enter xxxxxx

Hey Guys. I think that you are missing the point. The config, admin & startup passwords have been changed. What I need is a way to return them to their factory defaults.

I have never done, but other guys have told me they have shorted the battery on the system much in the same way you short the battery of the Rad.

Like z-man said the easier way is to short out the battery if you don't want to do that connect a fast rad to it and email me and I will tell you what to do or I will log into your switch and default it for you .
Good Luck
