I installed a 616 nortel for a friend last week. He called to say that they can not page beepers or dial ext. numbers when they reach a voice mail. I know nothing about Nortel equipment so I am guessing that it is either pulse dialing or DTMF is not being sent once the initial number has been dialed. I have not been on site to verify. Can one of you Nortel pros offer any suggestions or program instructions to change this?

oh yea, I think the type phones he has are the 7310's.

dial pulse is default for the lines on 616.Change line settings to tone.

Thanks for the quick reply openwire. I have no doc. on the system. Could you possibly tell me how to change it to DTMF?
