Hi Rich, The Aux ringer contacts are on the Violet-Brown pair of the station block. As for the programming, you can specify aux ringer 'YES' or 'NO' on a set-by-set or line-by-line basis. Then when a device (line or set)with aux ringer set to 'YES' rings, the contacts will close. ------------------ BCM Guy www.BCMguy.com Learn more about the Nortel Networks Business Communications Manager HERE !

Does that povide power at the pair? I have a Viking 600D unit that need ringer voltage to work. What I want to do is have ringer over the Paging system.
Thanks

No power...just a contact closure. If you have an application that requires more current than you would like to run through the KSU, I usually use a relay to safely switch the load. ------------------ BCM Guy www.BCMguy.com Learn more about the Nortel Networks Business Communications Manager HERE !

Regarding the 600D specifically, it is made to accept normal ring voltage from an analog station port or CO line. The best way to use this with the Norstar is to connect an ATA. A similar device that would fit your application is the NR-100 from Bogen. It will operate on ring voltage or a contact closure (perfect for the Aux Ringer port).
