I have a customer that has a Norstar phone system and they want be able to move a phone to a different jack but keep the same ext. number. Can this be done and is it "Set Relocation" What if any could this cause problems. there is a voice mail system hanging on the Norstar.

Yes, set relocation can be used, but it screws up the Port #'s. Moving the cross-connect wire is the best way, but set relocation will work.

These will be temporary moves so when they move the phone back to the original loc will this remove any port problems ?

I use set relocation on a regular basis. Just need to learn to check port # as well as station #. Works pretty well for a customer that is on the move ![[Linked Image from sundance-communications.com]](https://www.sundance-communications.com/forum/smile.gif)
