The manual says you need to use the serial port of the IP address is incompatible with the network. I think the IP is fine, and that it's the other settings, subnet mask and/or gateway IP that make it not work.

Just to confirm what RBF said, these things connect just fine out of the box. Just make sure your PC address is 192.168.110.XXX with a subnet mask of 255.255.255.000

Toner, RBF, I agree, they do work fine when they come out of a FACTORY box. This one came from eBay. Perhaps that has something to do with it. [Linked Image from sundance-communications.com]

See toners post above
sqekgeak- what is your question? Are you asking how to change a computers IP address? That is all it takes to talk to the CP.

ARGHHHH...........How can a worldwide telecom company produce a product, have it installed by many legitimate companies and yet have a novice complain about not understanding the installing principles be given credibility? His previous posts show the inability to install the correct color code for tip and ring, the tying down of power cords to the backboard in violation of CSA/UL codes per install manual as well as various other accepted install errors and yet....nevermind. Goodnight.

Tip & Ring aren't obsolete. You'd better not ignore it for too long, many systems are polarity sensitive. (Including Nortel's M1 and Centrex lines)
