I have a customer that has a Nortel NTAK11BA Meridian 1 PBX that is Rel 18.30H Gen 1411 how far out is this ver with what is current? Can it be upgreded to the current rel or does it need to be? They also would like to get a Voicemail system to go with this what should they purchase VM wise?

I believe the most current release is 25.40.
Yes it can be upgraded. Don't know if you have to be a Nortel business partner or not. As for whether it needs to be upgraded that depends. I don't think the version you have will recognize the M3900 series phones. The voicemail that is designed specifically for your switch is called MERMAIL (Meridian Mail).

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't Succesion 4.0 the latest SW and Meridian Mail is end of life. They would need to upgrade to Call Pilot. They may have to upgrade to release 23/24 before they can go to Succession.
