i'm changing a new customer's toshiba system for a mics around 90 sets there is 9 departments 9 reception desk they all want caps can i put 9 caps on a mics if i remember in cap assingment it stops at 4 anyone knows thanks

I believe your right sentrex1, 4 per system & 2 per 7324 set. I haven't done it, but I think you can have 9 KIM modules & don't require power unless you put more than 2 per phone.

New system, sell them KIM's not CAP's. Nortel specs allows 9 KIM's per T7316E phone max and a power supply is required after 5 KIM's on a T7316E. I would assume than you can use 9 reception sets each with a KIM and no power supply is required.

You can have as many T7316e's with KIMs as you want, however only 4 of them can be assigned as CAPs.

The difference between CAP and non-CAP is a CAP can have lines assigned to their buttons, whereas non-CAP KIM's can have only intercoms and features programmed.

KIM's will only work on T7316e and CICS/MICS running 6.1 software or higher.
