I have a customer who likes to be cheap on his moves some times and does DN changes .I advise him that one of these times he is going to loose his mailbox (get locked out ) well it happened when you try to access his M/B from his set you get Mailbox locked I tried deleting the box and no go , you can get into it by going * M/B number and P/W but 981 from his set you get M/B locked

A locked mailbox is caused by too many wrong password attempts to access a mailbox. Change DN and set relocation is nutorious for screwing up the dn/port map. So while the phone might say its the right DN (you did check that?), The voice mail doesn't think it is and is trying access another mailbox other than his own. Which is why you can access the correct mailbox from remote, but not from the phone.

His phone is probably associated with the wrong mialbox.

You will need to reboot the voice mail so it gets the updated info from the phone system.

And turn off set relocation.

And by the way you'll have to find the wrong mailbox he's been trying to access and reset the password to clear the lock out.

Hardto tell which is causing the problem. Most often its the voice mail that's confused. So reboot it first and see.
