Hi Melanie: Thanks for updating your profile. Just a note for when you get a little further into this project. We have a couple of moderators that are in Ohio. Your firm might want to contact them either as a a potential vendor, or as a consultant to review your proposals.

Melanie, Your decision should be based on the system that fits your needs. It has to have the features and capabilities you need today and in five plus years. Better then being open ended with a 6 x 12 phone system, tell us what you need the system to do "today" and the companies growth plans. Every system is a little bit different and being a capitol investment, you don't want to buy something based on anthing but a solution for your communication needs.

In our sales, we sell more partners than anything else. We are quite excited with the new DSX (what a wealth of options and nicely priced), but customers like the partner because it's familiar usually.
They also usually are like tanks, once we put them in, it's rare we have to touch them later (barring lightning or alterations that is).
And like was said before, it's very well-known so you'll have no trouble finding someone to service it!

Hi Melanie,
Norstar and Avaya= best choice in my opinion.
As Hal says, Vendor choice is the real key.
If you were in NY, I would say Valentine Systems. Walter is a stand up guy.
If you were in Idaho, I would say Dan Bowers.
Choose very carefully....A good vendor that sells any of the two would be an excellent choice.
Bets of luck to you.
