We ran Fiber between a clients two offices...The existing office has 100 users on a MICS which we upgraded to 7.0 software. The other office has 40 users on a MICS 7.0 software. Due to a change in the clients plan, instead of adding telco to the new location, they want to use the T1 service from the old location and have interoffice dialing between sites. The existing office is serviced by two T1's for voice and internet. Any suggestions? Initally the offices were going to be totally seperate entities and the fiber was for data only.

How far apart are the locations? You said there is fiber also, how much?

you could install fiber extender modules and connect station modules at the remote site then you would only need 1 ksu

I agree with Sentrex, the best and least expensive will most likely be to make it into one system rather than two connected systems.

Sentrex, I thought there was a limit of stations using this solution......
The HQ has 100+ users with 2 T's and truck lines we are adding a second location with 40 people to start, initially we were told 100 users.

With XC software you should have more than enough stations.

Yeah, she's right. Two strands are required for each 16 station expander so that's probably not a good option in this case.

If putting fiber modules in the remote site is not practical and 2nd complete system is need, there 2 ways to link MICS systems.
The preferred method is a point to point PRI, but it can also be done with analog E&M lines.
