Hi all, I have a customer that just moved into a new office. He purchased the previous tenant's equipment and asked me to reprogram the CICS and call pilot for him. When it came time for training I was going over how to make a conference call. This is where I found out that they use to do a conference call using 3 way calling from Verizon. Now the owner has problem with having to use 2 of the 4 co lines to make a conference call (and also to a trunk to trunk or link transfer). He is pretty much demanding that I come up with a solution for him to use Verizon's call waiting, 3 way calling and trunk to trunk transfer using the CICS. So I told him I would some research and get back to him. I also told him all the reasons why we don’t want to use Verizon's features. He didn’t want to hear it. So my question is, is there a way to use Verizon's features on one of the lines in the CICS?
Thanks in advance Fender

Sure there is! Make sure all lines have the features they want as all these features are controlled by the CO. Program a Link button for them, do some tests and you're done. They already know how the CO side functions work, you just have to show them the Link button.

The link Feature will act like the flash hook to activate Verizon features. You cannot use the hook (hangup) button as that will actually disconnect the call. The Link feature is the Feature 71 code. Then if Verizon has it, they can transfer, conf, etc.... using the TELCO features not the Norstar features.
If CON is the opposite of PRO Then what is the opposite of Progress?

Up where I am we change the link timer (under system programing) to 900 ms from the default of 600. If you dont have any trouble just leave yours where it is.
