We have a new BCM400. What I am trying to do is get a message to be played when the office is closed to say we are closed. I have programmed the autoattendant to ring our main lines to a hunt group during office hours and then play the message when the office is closed, this sort of works. The problem is that the auto attendant is set to kick in at 0 rings, but when someone rings in the phones ring once, then the person hears "one moment please" and then the hunt group rings. This really confuses the people in the hunt group. Is the the right way to go about doing this or is there another way.

How does it function during the day? Do you ring the HG directly during the day without using the auto-attendant? Are you trying to keep the same ringing pattern at night? Normally at night your AA greeting would say you are closed and then offer the caller some choices on what to do.

The Auto attendant seems to be all or nothing, for the night to work I have to use it during the day also. The night part works exactly as I want it. It's the day part thta seems to be the problem. If the AA is off the HG rings fine it's only when I turn on the AA to active the evening message that I get the problem. What I have tried is setting the AA to pick up after 12 rings after which it comes up with the one moment please. I've then recorded a message saying all the agents are busy and then push it back to the HG in a loop. Is there a way of only getting the AA to answer during out of business hours

Forgive my ingorance. The Call pilot is very versatile, but I need details on how your company functions and what you're trying to do. First I need to know how you wish to function.
During the day: Do you answer by live voice with AA back? Or direct to AA?
At night: Direct to AA?
What is your wish list?
Why are you using a HG?
