Hi - Happy Holidays to all! I am looking into all three of the Nortel BCM's and I need to know what the original specs are and how big each system can grow too (lines/ext) Im also needing to know more about the BCM GATM8 Global CLID Trunk Media Bay Module. As the nortel BCM gets bigger are more of the add-ons orig to the motherboard - or do key codes need to be purchased. I need to build a 16 X 32 with room to grow and option to go SIP/VoIP in future.

Hi - Sentrex1 Thank you for your fast response. The few vendors I contacted on this seemed a little uncertain - so I thought I'd post this to the guys who know their stuff!

Hi Carry, As you probably know BCM is a Digital/IP Hybrid system. The Largest is BCM 400 up to 200 ports. Every time you need to add ports you would need to purchase either Hardware and License(Codes), or License only(IP phones and VM). GATM8 is an 8 Trunk Caller ID LS/GS Trunks.

Thank you vad60! Here is the main question. Can the BCM 50 be expanded beyond its max. of 12 Co Lines/44 extensions? If so how? If not why? I need to build a 16 x 32 The client currently DOES NOT have a T1 only centrex lines. Additionally, has the BCM 200 been discontinued? Would it serve my needs?
Thanks for all your help!

200 will take care of all your needs. BCM 50 has only two expansion slots. you cann't do more. I would recomend go to BCM 400.

A 200 will not do a 16 x 32 configuration. You really need to concentrate on looking at the 400 since your looking to grow in the future. Also look into doing a PRI as opposed to 16 regular lines. It'll probably save you on your monthly telco bill.
