I do not have personal experience with them, but ffrom what I have seen and heard they are not easy to program or learn; actually from my experience the whole Vertical line, save the Comdial and Vodavi systems, is rather expensive.

I think it is kind of funny that one of their big selling points is that you can use your old phones (Avaya, Siemens, Toshiba...) but none of the systems I have seen in CVS or Staples have old phones, they are Vertical branded phones. I challenge anyone to find a picture of their phones (the actual vertical phone, not Comdial phones) on their webpage! It is there, but it is NOT easily found.

The marketing literature they send out is so lacking too. Sure it is full of words, but where are the picture of happy people using their phones? They look like medical sheets. Comdial used to make nice brochures, but now that the Vertical team has their hands in them they are lacking, IMHO. Hopefully, Vodavi escapes that fate and just puts out new brochures that they design.

Televantage is computer-based, using Dialogic telephony boards. I work with a lot of Dialogic, in predictive dialers. I have customers who have wiped their telvantage servers, reinstalled Windows and the dialogic drivers, and switched over to our software, and gave up on the "PBX" that was televantage.

Not an unbiased opinion at all mind you....

That's the old early revs. Newer models employ Intel HMP technology.

I have met with a doctor that has implemented this system himself, I must say I am impressed with the system. Wish I had so more info from guys like you that have run across this system.

So I guess this post is a BUMP.....

Thanks

Walter
