I installed a CICS 7.1 with Call Pilot 100 3.1 with 10-T7316e's 7 Lines (left row) Appear And Ring all Phones AA after 4 Rings (works great)
I Programmed a Feature 986 key on the phone (on the top eight bottom right buttom) then I have 7 DSS buttons on the right side of phone (right side 8 keys) Here is the dilemma When I go to use the VMT button and hit the DSS key it say's "No Button Free) But if you go Feature 986 and the extension number it works fine...I double checked all feature *3 and *2 programs and the key's are correct....??? It worked good for 3 days then this has happened...

Didnt think you could ever use the F986 key followed by a dss key.
How was it working before? Dont know. Are you sure this was the case?

How was it working before? Dont know. Are you sure this was the case? I'm with Rusty. As far as I know, you have never been able to follow F986 with a DSS key. You must enter the mailbox number with the keypad to complete the VM X-fer.

Confirmation 3....
You must dial the mailbox number. DSS key does not work with F986. Never has.

FYI Gentlemen This feature will work as long as the set has more then 1 intercom path...

Yes, you need a free intercom path to use F986.

The mailbox doesn't have to be the same number as the extention, therefore a dss key can't be used for VMT. You must dial the mbox number.
Punch down all your damn pairs!..........(please).
