I was asked to program a BCM that my client got from one of their sister companies that went out of business. My problem is the voice mail. Although the system says there are key codes for 12 mail boxes, I can't use more then 6 of them, including the GD and Admin. When I tried to record greetings, I received an error code to contact the system admin and explain what I could have done to cause the problem. The Computer guy didn't give me an IP address for the system yet so it is not networked and I can't try to reinstall the key codes, but they all do show up in system inventory.

Tech support said there were gremlins in the unit and to reboot, I did, it didn't help.

Any insight?

BTW, NO patches have been installed on this system since 2002.

You should be able to use a cross connect cable to either LAN1 10.0.10.1 or LAN2 10.0.11.1 (it would be unusual both were changed or you can use a serial cable and hyperterminal in change the IP even reinititial the voice mail database. you shouldn't loose your licenses. Do you have the password?

Delrey, I can get into the system fine with a cross over cable. The IT guy didn't leave me a IP address to assign to the BCM so I didn't put it on the LAN yet and have no internet access from the BCM.

I have the passwords and original key codes, they system shows 12 mail box licenses in inventory , I can only activate 5 MB's.
