Double whammy here.
Replaced a CICS with a BCM 50/GATM4. System using 1200 series IP sets. When customer places a call they get a wild echo. Have set the jitter, codec, auto echo cancellation, changed line properties 2 ways to sunday, and have disabled and re-enabled the GATM4. Still have echo problems. Of course the telco says their stuff is fine. (we've all heard that b4) Any suggestions?????
Also have an existing BST doorphone that the BCM won't recognize. Is it to old for the BCM?

Using IP phones, One word.... Network.
Echo is 99% caused by latency in your data network. Your network is prioritizing data, you need prioritize voice.

Any solution? I know this is an older thread that I found while searching for an answer to my I2002 echo problem.
Thanks, Beth

It appears there is an issue with the telco line. Still think it is a voip to analog issue though. No conclusion as of yet. Follow the bouncing trouble ticket

Is it 4 POTS or 4 lines of the Flex T1? If it Flex there is a problem. I have 3 clients who got rid of that T1 and replaced with reg.T1 PRI

My customer has no real network, 1 PC, 4 IP telephones not using IP for transport. Verizon Vios for Internet access. Analong lines......
Its got to be somewhere either the phone, wiring, switch.

Make sure you are using a network switch not a network hub. I used a Dlink QOS router for my home network and since I installed it I have had no problems with my ip phone. Did you test the lines with a buttset at the D-marc.
