I need to reset a vm password on a meridian. I know nothing about them I work on avaya systems can someone point me in the right direction? ANd can i do it remotely

Can you tell us more about which Meridian it is? Option or Norstar?

Individual MB or the whole thing?

Im not sure it is 150 miles away in a different city. And the customer doesnt know. It is a small branch if that helps i just dont want to drive there and not know

Ask them if it has a Gray "FEATURE" Button on the phone.

YES = Norstar
NO = Option

Make sure it says FEATURE not Program or something else. And if they press the button the display will say "Feature: "

it does have the feature key and when pressed it does say feature

Then you have a Norstar.
The older systems had Meridian on the phones.
But too many people got everything confused.
So they removed MERIDIAN from the newer phones.

In the Technician world:
Meridian is reserved for Option systems.
Norstar is reserved for Norstar systems.

For End Users, it is confusing.

To reset a person's Mailbox, get into the Voice Mail Admin area of programming.
Go into the Mailbox area.
Go into the mailbox you need to reset.
Hit reset.

If You need to reset the ADMIN password, you need to enter the code for that.

If you don't know passwords, then I suggest you call a knowledgeable technician.

there is none if i could get the admin pw send to me then im sure i could do it from there

thats if there is a default one for that system
