Hi,
I accidently plugged my Sony phone in backwards. (:-o)
Is just a resistor burned out or is it cheaper to by a new phone?

Is this a single line phone or a system phone? If its a single line phone , more than likely it will be cheaper and faster to get a new one. Good luck and I hope this helps ya

See, I was hooking the phone up to a DC system, and I got the tip wrong. I had it set on tip+ instead of tip-.
