Thanks for all the help btw.
Just a guess at why you can't add more than 4 MB's. Since it is a used system, there are probably mail boxes already built.
I always reset/default a used VM unit before installing. Could be all kinds of stray stuff in there.

Example: I took over one site that someone did not default the system. The customer asked me to remove a mailbox that belonged to "Joe". When in the directory, (he only had about 3 mail boxes) and when hearing all the names this "Joe" guy also gets announced. Cust says, that guy is a known felon, get rid of it. I could not find his mail box number no matter what I tried. It needed defaulted to get rid of it.

Ok. great. I will default it when i'm next in the office on Monday next week. I then have one week to get the thing ready for install.
Any clues how to default the thing?

Cheers people

Please do not post links for manuals off-site.

If you need a manual click on the "Manuals" link at the top of this page.

Hi Marv
I've just had a look at this StarTalk properly and there is a "2" imprinted on the cover at the bottom. Does this mean 2 ports? Is there a daughter board that goes in that connector for the other 2?

That is always a misleading statement.
Everyone says, "Two ports".
Technically, it is only 1 port using 2 channels.
If you add the daughter board that has a 4 on it, then everyone will say you have a 4 port. But really it is only 2 ports that has 4 channels.
It uses the B1 & B2 channels for each port.

Thankyou all. I have the manual from the Nortel website and a 2-port upgrade card on order so all being well I can work it all out.

Just so you know, don't bother starting to program the Flash until AFTER you install the expansion card. Have been know to default it otherwise when upgrading.

OK, thanks Dave, I'm hoping it will default itself when I plug the expansion card in. Thanks again for your help, you're a star!
