Are you positive you're using the private address for the BCM - 192.168.xxx.xxx? Does the softphone work correctly when plugged into the same network as the BCM?
Sounds like the typical issue when trying to connect to a BCM over the internet (no VPN)...

After some further testing I have two laptops both with i2050 both on the same network as the BCM the one with version 2.00 I can intercom a m7310 can be heard but not hear so when I go for intercom on the softphone I hear nothing over the laptop. On the other laptop I have version 2.02 softphone and when I intercom the M7310 I can hear but not be heard therefore I can hear the intercom dial tone on the laptop. I can only get a one way voice path and have no idea what to look for Rick

BCM will use ports 7000, 28000-28500, 51000-51285. Try disabling NAT? Make sure subnet is same as BCM Look at any VPN setting on routers. See if you can ping the BCM from your PC at work.
Im outta ammo on this one, sounds like an IT issue.

I have the i2050 on a laptop on the same network that the BCM is on. I can ping the BCM I have forward the ports to the ip of the BCM but still the same thing. I can be heard but I can't hear on the laptop (Sound works ok with skype) I had another Linksys router (no VPN) but don't need it if everything is on the same network and still the same problem so for now I dont think its anything to do with VPN

Make sure that use G729 protocol for the IP phone. This uses the least amount bandwidth. Also use QOS on the router if available. The IP packets need to be given priority.

Still can't figure this out. This is what I have softphone on laptop works ok when connected to the same network. When Im on a different network using VPN the softphone connects to the BCM I can grab a line and use the intercom but there is no voice either way. I have disabled the firewall in the router and on the laptop. On the laptop when I check to see what IP I have when connected with the vpn Im in the proper range (as setup in the router) but the subnet is different the subnet the bcm is on is 255.255.255.0 and the router is giving me 255.255.255.255 Im not sure if this is a problem this is the subnet that my IP service provider is giving me

Rick, it sounds like you are in over your head. No network device will ever work with a subnet mask of 255.255.255.255 - there's no way it can talk to anything else...
