You can definitely use Hyperterminal which comes free with Windows.

There is no proprietary software for any of the Panasonic voice processing systems. Hyperterm, ProComm plus and some other terminal emulation programs work fine. You do need a NULL modem cable or adapter though. set your PC for 9600,8,N,1 If the settings were changed boot the system up with the rotary switch on 1 and this will return the TVS to default communication settings.
