hi all this problem is getting to me so heres hoping someone out there knows whats happening.

this is what i have 30ch pri 2 x kxtd12-32 v6 + tvp 200 6 port
the cus has 2 x companys using this system
what he wants is this
all calls arrive at 1 reception
he wants to see the name for the company being called by using the ddi as a referance (ie) caller rings 898611 ,the ddi 8611 arives at system now i need to asigne a name to that some how and point it to the reception and have that name displayed before she answers.if unansered the call goes to the custom menu where the caller picks the company they want.the options are to 2x named grps 290,291
what i have done is this
i pointed each ddi to a grp ie 8611 to grp 293 & 8612 goes to grp 294 293 is named as irc & 294 is named as griffin
each grp has 1 member ext 201
when i tried this it worked fine...but when the grp recieved another call the caller got BUSY so i set call waiting but dident fix..set the que to 8 caller hears ringing but 201 doesent ring or show call is arriving maby becouse the group only has 1 member if i set the lines to dil then call waiting works but no ddi or name it may be some thing small like a grp button ? do i need one. im at the end or my teder with this maby it can only be done with the aa taking all the calls ?? or is there something im missing with call waiting from a group any help

Turn on the XDP, put it in the group and add a ringer to it.
I'll have to think some on the display name.

just looking through some old notes think on this if i setup a ucd group 293 with 1 member 201 but set the overflow back to 201 using t1 ? like setting up a ogm card ..maby then i might get the call waiting what do you think??

Maybe but another thing is to overflow it to a phantom and put that phantom key on 201

was thinking that but i know the key would flash but will it cause call waiting on that phone

another question would be having set the phantom ext to ring on 201 can you then intercept that ext in the same way as always

just to let you all know i got it sorted

the answer was the type of hunting
if you require a group to generate a call waiting tone when you have only 1 member you have to set the group as a 1. ucd grp
2. set que size to amount required
3. set overflow back to the same ext
4 switch on call waiting
this way you can name the ddi handy when you have multi companys with only 1 opperator
