We have a much underused TVP100 VPS as part of our system. Everyone has their own extension with DDI and a voicemail box setup on the system.

Is it possible to set the system up so that when a caller is transfered to an individuals voicemail they can be offered the option to press x to speak to another member of staff and the call be transfered to the operator phone, or allow them to leave a message if they don't press anything?

if phone is call forwarded caller will hear users greeting if recorded, if not recorded a canned "please leave a mesg for mailbox xxx"
if operator service is enabled then pressing zero during this message will xfer to operator unless you assign another extension under call coverage in mailbox setup, then zero will go the ext you set there.
you could also in the personal greeting inform the caller of another ext.
Example: hi this is Jerry, I am either on the phone or away from my desk, if you need immediate sales help dial #8112, if you need immediate Tech help dial #8120, for operator assistance press zero (this would go to call coverage ext if set up), or you may leave me a messg after the tone.

The new modle v mail allow you to build 1 number trees into each mailbox, you could use 2-9 instead of #8XXX.

Thats how the US version works. Peter Doyle may chime in if UK is Diff??
