hi how do you like the email feature on the tva50? i was thinking about buying the lan card so that i could send an email to our cell phones and blackberrys when there is a voicemail (but not attach the .wav file). what does the email actually read? does it give caller id info, etc? how long is it? thanks. smile

isn't it enough to just plug into a router hooked into a network with broadband access?

i guess you'll will have to look at the e mail section of the software and then you will be able to answer that question yourself.

You need to know the IP address of the server. Most Broadband e-mail providers give you the DNS name. The TVA can only use an IP address, you cannot enter a name. If you install a local Workgroup mail on a PC ( under $50.00) connected to the same LAN as the TVA then you can setup the workgroup server to connect to the Broadband provider. That is how I did it at my home and it works fine.
