Check that you have electical power. Is the outlet hot? Is the system power switch on?

Did you find the system type and model?
That would help if the above is okay.

Good Luck!

Panasonic D816 version 4

Checked the phone line...It works.
System Power is ON.

I don't know why it did this.

Only thing I can think of is somesort of static electricity from me touching the box.

What are your thoughts?

Not that this sounds possible, but weren't you working with programming on the system in earlier posts? I seriously doubt that programming changes would kill the system completely.

Sure, static discharge may have knocked it silly if you were getting inside the KSU but I doubt that you were.

Disconnect all station connections from the KSU and power the system down completely for 20-30 minutes. This will allow it to completely cool down.

Then, power it up with one display phone connected directly to the KSU. If the phone comes up, reconnect the stations but only in groups of four at a time. Wait and see how it behaves. You may have a wiring short that will knock out as many as eight stations at a time.

Connect the phone to the cable coming directly out of the KSU for the first extension port.

I did everything you said...still got nothing.

Any other suggestions before I shell out $80 an hour?

If the LED by the system's power switch is steadily-lit, then unfortunately the answer to your question is "yes". The only other suggestion I can make is that all cable connections are securely seated in the KSU. What you are describing sounds like a 25 pair cable coming unseated from it's mating connector.

The hourly rate you quoted is a bargain in these parts, but someone who knows what they are doing should be able to resolve your problems quickly. You might save some time by using the "installers" button at the top of this page instead of dragging out the "dreaded yellow".

your sure you have AC power going to the switch ?

like ken said , not just that the power switch is turned on

verify that it is plugged in and getting power Sounds like a poor install and lose power cord

( I love those kind of service call's

WOW you got us back up quick , what did you do ?

hmm..plugged it in

heres my invoice laugh )
