KX TD816, 1st 8 stations are RJ jacks. On right side of cabinet, above power connector and power switch is a slide switch for clearing the memory. You will not be the first one to inadvertently put it in the 'clear' position! (Yes, I have done it, too.) I believe this will lock up the system. If you didn't push the little reset butoon, you may luck out and still have all your program! Let us know. John C.

It is getting power. It is still not working.
And yes, I did hit the 'clear' and reset button. (After everything else failed) I thought it would just reset the system or something.
Was I wrong? OOPS

rj...at this point, I would strongly suggest you call your vendor before you cause any major damage to your system, it sounds like you may have lost your programming.
I Swear I did not touch anything

Well I now have a question. The time lapse between your opening post and your last one is an hour and a half. I have no idea how many employees your business has or what your business does but I do know that when a business does not have phone service they are out of business. My question is this.
During the hour and a half that you were out of business did your business lose more than the 80 bucks you saved?

Ah, but the NEXT day! Lost 24 hours, gotta be worth $80! And I stand corrected on the lockup I detailed. It has happened @ our place, but we could not duplicate it with ver 1 or ver 5. So, we don't know if it was an oddidty, or it's only true on some particular version. If you aren't careful, you'll always have teethmarks on your posterior! (For those of you in Rio Linda, that means it'll bite you on the ass!) John C.

we own our own business...very small...only four empoyees. The phone system came with the building we just bought. I will be getting a tech guy to come and look at it. For now, we just hooked up a regular phone. O well. Thanks for all your input. I will probably be back to this forum when my phone system is back.
