Dear all,
I got in charge of supervising a td1232 hybrid. As expansion units on the outside surface we have a TD286 (6S0) in Area1 and a 16SLC in Area2, and inside in the middle of the PBX there is a DISA KX-TD191.
My troubles proper:
- System programming [109] Expansion Card/Unit type allows me to enter three values, so I set them as following: S2; A1; E2. However, I don't really understand why can't I choose something like 'disable' or 'not present' instead of E2, as there really are only the two mentioned outside expansions. And what's the difference between E1 and E2 (thy system doesn't allow me to STORE the settings, when I enter E1).
- After I set these unit types as above, I turned the power switch off, and on a few seconds later. As stated in the manual, now the system really sees it as entered, but I myself CAN'T SEE why the 1232 doesn't sense that 286 unit. To be specific, why can't I use system progamming [440-446] relevant to TD286 ISDN configurations?
I'm sure I'll still have many questions for you, but for a starter these two will do ;-)
Thank you in advance.

What country is the system from, becaues as far as I know the US model will not take the td286 could be wrong, but any gray units that came to Ireland wont accept ISDN.
as for the expandsion area, it doesn't matter what the empty slot is set as, the td is pretty much set as what can go on the expandsion so it should be S2>E1>E2 only a exsample not what yours is. on the front door you can put 1 co tipe module and 2 extension modules.

Hello, OBT
The system seems to be meant for the european market (TD1232CE), but was made in Japan.
Calls can be initiated from the system through the 286 unit, but as said programming-wise the 1232 just doesn't seem to sense it as a proper 286 unit.
Any suggestions :-?

The td1232ce should support ISDN, because the module is a 6 so only 2 ports on this card will support lines the other 4 ports will only support isdn extensions. is this a new install as adding a isdn card some times the system has to be defaulted to estabilish the card to the cpu. If this is a new install and you can default the system it would make it easier. co you have the system prog tool and what version is on the sticker at bottom of unit
