Have 2 lines on phones. When phone is idle, lines ring fine. When talking to someone on line 1, and another call comes in on line 2, line 2 just flashes, doesn't ring. If you call line 2 directly when the set is idle, it rings fine. How can I get the lines to ring when I am talking on the phone so that I can answer the next call?

You won't get it to actually ring but you
can can get a call waiting tone.
At the set press intercom, 731

There has gotta be a way to make the phone ring while offhook on another call.

Sorry, spaceballs, but what Mr. G said is the "call waiting notification" and that is that. Do you have a set nearby that can be set to ring?
