Here is some information from a post back in April '09.

There is a flaw in the way Panasonic TDE and TDA using the unified maintenance console log caller id with PRI. It will log the CID with 2 1's instead of a single 1. That is due to the 1 in the caller id modification table for long distance and also the 1 in the CLIP menu also in the caller id modification table. If you remove one of the 1's you still get 2 of them and if you remove both you get none so those are your choices double 1's or no 1's you cannot get a single 1 to show."

Perhaps there will be a fix in a future software version.

Yes, but this is a KX-TA824 little analog system.

It was just an observation that the symptoms were similar with pri sending 1+10 digits, and Phonepower doing the same. I would be curious to see if a standalone caller id box ahead of the system displays the correct or same info on those two voip lines. Also does the call go through even though there is a 1 in front of the number. Maybe the provider completes the call no matter what.

Perhaps there are some engineering similarities across the board on all Panasonic systems?

NP, IC, didn't realize that you knew it was a TA.
I too am curious as to what a CID box would show.
That's why I asked if this is also happening with the Verizon line as well?

Hey guys

When a call comes through verizon line, it is just a an area code and a number.

It is really annoying... I configured ta to ad one. Now it adds one for both providers. So, when I I press 4 to return a call, verizon's numbers work fine... but calls that came from phone power, get two Ones before area code.

It's a mess! Pisses me off really bad. I spoke with phone power people. and spoke with grandstream (manufacturers of that little stupid box) the settings could be made locally on ym end to strip the one. BUT Phone power refuses to do anything as that section is protected by password and they do not want me to have it. Well, I say do it yourselves! Don't wanna do that either!

And another thing, that box does not produce CPC. It gives a busy upon disconnection. and the pbx does not release the lines for about a minute.

Simple solution. Dump crappy phone service, change to Verizon.

What brokeda said. Reality check here, if the money you save via voip is not WWWAAAYYY more than the lost business and unhappy customers that result from less than timely callbacks and poor service in your customers eyes, well...............

certainly having two line through voip is huge savings... plus outgoing calling FREE rather than paying 9 cents per call with verizon is huge!

I use verizon line only for incoming calls... well, very rarely do I make calls on that line. Mostly on my voip as it is free in US and Canada. And I call Moscow a lot with voip it is 2.5 cents a min. Also saves you a lot.

For almost 1.5 years of having my phone system I learned so much things about it... I've experemented a lot and that's how I leanrned more things how it worked and what needed adjustments. Trust me, there's enough that needs adjustments there.

Uless, I was sold a defective stuff. I do not have anyone with whom to discuss how it should work by comparing... Only my own expertise.

I very much appreciate everyone who got involved in this post. If any one of you could chat with me privately about some things that concern me, that would be great.
