When i place a CO call on hold, the system puts the call on hold, but then gives me a intercome tone and directly a busy tone. The caller hears the music, but meanwhile i get the intercom tone and then jumps to busy tone. Is there a way that when i press HOLD that i hear nothing? you cannot concentrate hearing busy tones on the line when the customer is on hold. Any advise/help/tips?

Hangup?? You cannot hangup if you are using a headset. There must be a way to program to hear "nothing"

Put phone in headset mode, plug in headset properly. Read the manual of the system and the headset. In headset mode, the SPEAKER key answers and hangs up.

i just noticed that the HOLD button, works the same like TRANSFER Button. when i press hold and a extension number, the call is transfered. I think there is something miss configured. That why i also hear the 'transfer intercom sound when i press hold. brokeda what do you hear when you put a call on hold?

Turn off One Touch Transfer under SYSTEM/DETAIL. That may help. Any time you put a call on hold you will get Intercom tone until you HANG UP! If phone is in headset mode,(in this case, proper headset is plugged into headset jack) Press Hold then SPEAKER, you will hear silence.
This assumes you are using the correct headset, plugged into the headset jack.
Reference previous post.
You really should read carefully the FEATURE Manual of the 824 and the TVA.
Both consoles have extensive Help files, if properly installed.
