I have the basic system unit. 3 CO lines used.

System has been used for several years now without any problems at all.

The sales staff asked if the system could forward calls to the mobile phone number.

Sure. That can be done. Well. Guess I was wrong.

I do not know if I got a bad unit or if I just can not figure this system out.

First question.

Does the AA work on the basic unit? I know it says you have to get a BV card for messages. But it says nothing about the AA not being able to work.

I can not get the AA to work at all. Just the basic press 0 for ect... press 1 for.... even after putting in the ext.

I know you got to change the type of call it will be. I do that. Still nothing.

So I tried just doing a forward to only one number.

That does nothing.

So I thought ok. That ext would need to a DIL maybe. Now that did work but it did not forward. The CO line just turned red and did not forward. Even though the FWD/DND light was flashing.

Undo the FWD and the line does only ring in that ext. So that part of it does work.

If anyone knows what I am doing wrong I would be very great-full.

Or if I am putting in the phone numbers wrong for forwarding. I am using the PC to do the programming of the unit.

Thanks

Thank you very much for replying to my two topics.

disa is correct
exts are allowed
forward to a CO selected.

And now. Sad to say you lost me.

I am using the software on the PC to fwd to CO.

When you click that it asked for the two numbers.

I did not see anywhere in any of books about a prefix number being used. Which could explain my problem.

Unless you mean COS setting. Which is set to no restrictions at all. And ext accounts codes are not set. It is on option with no number ever entered.

Thanks

Thank you so much. The 9 did work. And I did go back and look. It does mention it, but not in much detail at all. And when the PBX is host unit.

LOL. Yes. I always do. I just about got them memorized. Got to say. Worst manuals I have ever read. Very poorly written.

I know some say you should know the field of it. But I have licensed in many fields that only train people to work on.

And the install manual always tells you what to do. Company's change things so much you got to read it.

I had to pull a dishwasher today cause I jumped the gun and installed it like I always did. But they changed some things. Never fails.

I am doing it manual now.

My next task is to setup the DISA so callers can push 1,2,3 for which sales person they wish to connect with.

I will post you if I run into any problems.

Thanks

the 824 is as brainless as it gets with PSNA the big problem is that it just barely fits in a soho setup
if they just added ring groups and intercept routing
it would be a good soho system
