Good morning!
The other day, eManager stopped working for some random reason. It was giving me an "Can't find users db in x:/ Reinstall eManager."
So I reinstalled eManager and am not getting the error, but now I can't get the Unite Gateway to connect. I am using a keyspan usb serial adapter on com 3, 9600 baud, data 8, parity none, stop bit 1. These are all the settings I had early, but it won't connect.
When I try to connect, I can see the com port go active while watching the keyspan adapter status monitor so I know that unite is talking to the keyapsn.
I have changed ports, baud rate, etc. I've restarted the phone system on the off chance that I locked up the serial interface....
Any ideas? This was a struggle when I first set the system up, though I can't remember why.
Thanks!

What is the system software level? You do know we have a RS232 device that you can use to program across the network.

I'm not entirely sure what the system software level is. I just started eManager again, and now it is giving me the error:
Network initialization failed. Path not found. File: X:\PDOXUSRS.Net Directory: X:\
I don't have a computer with a serial connector, so I've always used the usb->serial and it's worked great!

Try connecting to the system with Pcpsb7 software. This will let you know if it the USB Serial Adapter or The E-manger software.

It looks as if your eManager needs to be deleted and reinstalled. Since your going thru that you may want to get the latest eManager 3.1.0.8 also have you used the usb converter for any other program or has any settings changed in the com post of your PC?

No other use for usb....it is connected to piece of rj45 that goes straight to my server room...
Thanks!

SBU7.33b was the last DOS programmer software that is what Tony is talking about, doubt you have it if you have been using EManager most of the time. Did you check for conflicts on you com ports?

the usb - serial adapter software responds fine when I try to connect and shows no conflicts though I am a mac guy and might be missing the right place to look for a port conflict
