Hi there...
I am in the process of changing my greetings for weekends and am not entirely sure how to change my 1 touch dialing preferences. Currently, on weekends, if you press the star key, if forwards you to mailbox 400 which is our emergency mailbox where somebody leaves a message. I want to change that to 436, which is set to forward to whomever is on duty. (we change that each morning).
However, when I log into emagen (web site), and I go into department -> properties, and scroll to the bottom, I see "conversion table". I've been led to believe that this is where I control the one-touch dialing...but I don't see star as an option...
It also doesn't show me what my current one-touch numbers are....am I in the right place?
Thanks.

Steven Are you using Scripts instead of Department greetings?

Honestly, I'm not entirely sure....I can change the greetings by dialing into the voice mail system, then I can edit the greetings (111 = Thank you for calling....", 121 (Day Body)......
I just can't tell where the 1-touch dialing options are set....
Any ideas where I can look? Is this the famed appgen issue?

No Appgen on the E-magen Voicemail. Look in Dept, Properties. Where it says start with script, is the a mailbox number?
I would think so because you can't uses the star key in Dept. Auot attendants.
If you sre using DEPT Auto Attendant its is the conversion table in DEPT Properties.
If it's a script mail box you change it in Mailbox, Scripts.

But Tony if he is changing 111 and 121 he is using Department greetings not scripts. So Steven * and # are not available to use "By Default" in the EmaGen. Steven sorry but where you are going and need help with is beyond the normal scope of the open forum. Feel free to contact one of the MODs by PM or by phone for remote programming support, of course there will be a fee for this service. Or contact the Dealer in your area for local on site support.

Ya that's why I posted both. Need more info from Steve. Using Star to transfer but records in 121. Doesn't make sence to me. Maybe 121 is his script mailbox. Who Knows!!

Sorry for the delay in getting back gang....flew across the country....
Ok, to answer your questions, yes, under "start script" it does have a number there. For Day and Lunch, it is 700 and night it is 701. Those are the only choices available.
So....that definitely led me to the right place....when I went to MB and scripts, I found the scripts when I manually searched for 700 and 701. And....I found my star, which I changed to the new MB I wanted.
So, I think this is all great...the only thing I have to figure out is some of the greeting stuff. At night, it is playing two greetings, a short one and a long one....
I gathered by both of your posts that it sounds like I may have this configured wrong (ie, using scripts AND Department greetings). Is this bad?
Thanks for your help, as always!

No. It doesn't really matter how you route the call. It might be alittle sloppy but shouldn't effect anything. But you are over the regular simple post. You will need to contact a MOD to purchase some Tech support. Anyone of us can help you and solve you issue.

Hi Gang....
First off, thanks as always for your help. I wasn't trying to push the envelope here....and never mean to. I have a local dealer that helps, but I struggle with his answers sometimes and have found this to be a good place to help educated myself a bit more....
I ended up finding the voice prompts....it turns out that I am using scripting as well as some numbered prompts, so it was easy to fix once I found them....
So, thanks again.
