How do I program a * in the vm dial digits. The message light works but when it is pressed it only rings the voice mail hunt group and will not go to the correct box. I need to add a * infront of the mailbox number. Any assistance will be appreciated.
TIA Don

if you are entering call forwarding for the vm hunt group you can push the sds key for a * if you have no sds dial *# to turn on those keys.

Don My guess to what you need is to ID the Phone so when you press the MSG key it will send you ID to the Stratagy and ask you to enter you password. So to ID your phone: ICM #65691 XXX Redial (XXX= ext number) and ICM #65792 XXX Redial.

I've never worked on the ESI before, but I would have to say that if there is an integration option for the Toshiba on it, then SSPhone's instructions should work.

I have tried the defaults that SSphone has recommended with no avail the integration is set to Toshiba but it still does not go to the mail box it just rings the pilot.

Thats why I always say buy from the same manufacture. IF you buy a Toshiba buy a Toshiba Voicemail if you buy a Telrad buy a Telrad voicemail and so on. I am at a loss on ESI voicemail sorry. The voicemail intergration codes must be different than the toshiba defaults. Try listing this in the Voicemail section maybe someone knows the ESI.

You mentioned that you couldn't get it to work when you press the message waiting key. But does the voicemail follow-on id work (#656 code) when a station call forwards to voicemail? If it does, then the integration for the voicemail seems to work. Have you checked program 13 and placed the lowest vm port there?

The voice mail works fine on 7 out of 10 phones. This system is installed in Tracy CA. and is not local for me the questions were raised by the end user who is a friend. I agree If you buy a phone system buy the matching voice mail life is so much easier that way for the customer and for the vendor.
