I recently had some people out to work on our phones (Strata DK 2000 series on a DK 424 System) and they did a great job except that now when a person places a phone call the pound and star keys do not work. I've found that you can press *# and then the keys will work for the duration of that call, but I would like to have it so that the keys are activated by default. I can't warrant spending the money for another service call just to get this one thing activated. If anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it. My users don't like change, and I'm getting a lot of grief over this small issue.

Thank You!

I think that it is just a matter of programming a system speed dial. I am suprised that the tech did not program at least one so that your buttons would work.
But please wait for one of the experts to chime in to be sure.

Paul is right. You need to have a Speed Dial key (Code 497) programmed on one of the keys. Obviously the user will have to give up a button for this.

If it is a 10 button phone, AND programmed as a 20 button phone in Prg 38, then you can make one of the invisible keys on the right side a code 497. This way the * and # will work and the user will not give up one of his 10 buttons.
