I have a CTX100 with a 3020 phone, in installed the BHEU board in the base unit and connected my plantronics headset directly to the rj12 jack. I then programmed a answer release button on the phone hoping it would allow this to work through the headset. While testing i found this would only activate the speakerphone and unless i lift the handset the headset does not work.

I am wondering if there is a certain setting or button to program for this to work without lifting the handset.

I have found little to no info on the BHEU adapter setup in my manuals.

Thanks

Did you plug the handset cord back into the Plantronics?

WHat type of base unit? M12 vista needs to be on setting 1 with no batteries. I had a customer by headsets and couldn't get them working so I went out and found they had the S model which are for a SLT type phone.

No the platronics i got is just a cable and a headset, no box where i could plug in the handset. I plugged the headset cord directly into the BHEU board.

Is the box somthing I need?

Yes. You will need an M10 or M12 base unit. Chec out Plantronics web page. It shows all the models

I believe, although I haven't tried it myself, that you can connect a headset directly into the BHEU if you cut the strap labeled HEU on the DKT's circuit board. Look in the I&M manual for an explanation.

It is all starting to come together now! I will try the setup and let you know how it went.

Thanks
