hi,
i have 2 extensions: 113 @ the desk where i sit most of the time & 123 @ my "official" desk. i have a CF-A 123 -> 113 on my 123phone. when you call my ext, the MOH plays for about a second, then there's a beep and then the phone rings about 10 times before it goes to my vm, even if i'm on the line.
i've added my 123 as the VMID for station 113 to try and make it pick up faster and i've tried changing the max rings in the es32, but it doesn't seem to have any effect. what am i doing wrong?
also, why does the MOH cut out for a phone ringing sound?
i feel like i'm missing something obvious, sorry. thanks!

Is voicemail performing the transfer? If so, try putting an H after the extension number in mailbox 123.

Are you calling your phone by calling into the system and dialing 123 from the auto attendant? Put 123H in the extension field in your mailbox.

phonemeister - i put the CF-A on the station, shouldn't that mean the CIX would handle the transfer?
voyager - i do have the "h" in my mailbox extension (123h).
if i wanted the voicemail to handle the transfer instead of the station, how would i go about it?
thanks guys!

Did you use #6011 for the CF-A code?

So, how are you testing it?

calling x123 from internal works fine (voice announce/busy if off-hook). if i call it from an external phone, whether through the front desk or through the "back door" line, i hit 123 and then it rings about 10-12 times before you get my main greeting. it doesn't seem to matter if i'm on the phone or not, it still rings. i just tested by setting another ext with #6011 and it is working the same way. i get the "please hold while i try that extension", and then the ringing... until finally the VM picks it up. do you know of a quick trick that would sidestep this problem? i was trying to come up with a vm DND / chain TRANSFER or something, but i haven't gotten it to work yet. thanks!
