Strata DK280 W/ 3.2 software. Installed T-1 DID's,Wink start, without pri. Used program 71 to assign DID's to individual DKt's. Phone system had exsiting Stratagy 4 Voicemail with SMDI setup before T-1 install. A dist hunt group is set up for afterhour calls to VM and programmed to ring in 71-3. Here's the problem- lines are answered at ext. 200 then transfered to dkt's, then they are forwarded to their private mailbox during the day-Works great. But after hours in night transfer, calls go directly to VM, VM answers, you dial through to a station, it transfers to that station then hangs up and sends you back to the main VM prompt again on another port. I set up SMDI on my notebook through Hyperterm to see what was going on night verses day calls. It appears from the data string on night inbound DID calls from the DHG carry no ext number to VM. I assume because the call is not terminated then sent to VM. What am I missing here?? Is my attempt on the DHG wrong? Does the T-1 not play with the SMDI? I'm missing something here and I could really use some suggestions. Sorry for the long post. I tried to give as much info as possible. I think I've been working on phone equipment to long!

What was the destination in 71-3 (night), a distributed hunt group and can you confirm you have the correct destination entered?
What are the members of the night distributed hunt group?
The T-1 is not the problem, where the calls are directed to and what members are there to answer should be some kind of clue.
Can they go to just one mailbox at night or do the calls have to be evenly divided to a number of mailboxes?

The destination in night is dhg 0900 (default). Setup member ports in program *40- 4 ports 072-075. Program *04 has 900=850 (default). I'm trying to acomplish this in night mode- VM act as auto attendant- call is answered by voicemail, able to transfer to any ext and leave a message at any mailbox. 71- 3 routing has 900 dhg programmed to it under the main DID.

Hmmm. During the day, DID 5555 for instance hits the operator at 0 directly, right? Operator sends it to some person who either answers or it goes to that person's VM box by CF-NA.
At night, the same DID 5555 rings to the voicemail, caller chooses an extension, rings that extension and before it can go to that users mailbox it rings back to the main greeting?
Could they be choosing extensions that have no CF-NA? Then it would go back to the main greeting for sure.
If the person called at night has DND turned on and has CF-NA does it work the same?
What does the display say on just one screen when idle in the day?
Were are getting closer I hope.
