Will the EF processor work in a DK424 cabinet without removing the MBJU jumper. My notes say to remove the jumper between the 2 processor slots but I see no way to remove it. Thanks JBW

For what its worth, I could never figure this one out and you are not the first one to ask this question. You might try doing a search to see if this was ever answered in all the time the board has been up. Wish I could help more. Sorry.

Thanks Bunnie I found that the MBJU jumper was actually a little pcb that plugged into a socket and that I just wasn't pulling out on it hard enough. I still don't know if they will work in cabinets with the jumper still installed or 280 cabinets. They're just too danged expensive to play with. JBW

the E/F and the MBJU Pcb can work together if you want. What it really does is open the last slots in the cabinets to be used., you may have to migrate cards up a slot or two if the MBJU is removed. It's been a few years since i did an C/D upgrade to E/F and its best to use the admin software to migrate and upgrade. There is if I remember right certain cabinet types that have to be used.

Well Shazzam and Thank You Telephonyman. The manual is clear in that it says to take it out but not what it looks like or why you take it out and freeing up the slots gives the reason to remove it.
Toshiba makes some pretty good manuals (excepting the horridly lacking glossary) but this is a weak spot that will never get taken care of because they are no longer printing these manuals.
I'm just going to print out this page and stick it in the manual. Thanks again, Bunnie

There was a video produced by Toshiba that completely explained the migration between the 280 and 424 cabinets. It introduced the reasons behnd the MBJU and what limitations you have when you mix 280 and 424 cabinets. It outined the slot channels and outlined things to look out for. It was very well produced and written. I should know... I wrote it, produced it, starred in it. I'm sure I still have a copy of it
