I have 2 DK 280s and both systems have a Stratagy DK 8 port VM, both are with the same company. I have it setup so when people call on the main line they have 6 options. Option 6 gets tranfered off premise with a #45,1234567891. Both VM call the same number, however caller ID only shows up on the fowards # from one of the systems and shows up blocked from the other. Is there a program to block the number? Thanks

Usually, CID is blocked or unblocked at the carrier level. Have you contacted your dial tone provider to make sure that CID blocking is not set on the lines?

No its not blocked, caller id works when you dial out from the line directly.

You confuseded da Bunnie.
I will assume some things. The DK8 in each system dials 9 to get an outside line, YES?
Not knowing how big these 280 are equipped, have you dialed out from EACH line, on BOTH ksus, to your CID equipped cell phone and see the caller id on the screen? (No need to answer, just see it and hangup the Toshie.)
Is all this in the same mailbox (probably 991) in each DK8?
Have you compared the settings in (probably 991) and found both of the boxes to be set identical?
Once we know that we can move on.
The string 6 goes to could have a *67 inserted somewhere.

In both systems look in speed dial bin 49 and see if there is a *67 in one as that is where one manual I have says the external forward number is stored. It says it is for an RCTU-A or -B or -C/D.
I've never had this problem before so I am just trying to use research to make the confusion go away.
If you have a digit grabber and things are quiet, put it on the last line of the dial 9 group and call in and press 6 then see what comes up on the digit grabber. Probably a *67 will be there.
Also look in speed dial bin 45 as that is what you said was the bin that was being used. Not being on site I can't tell you if it is really using *45 or *49. Or is the *45 or *49 number on option six in the chaining screen of 990 and 991?
I am 99.999% positive you will see *67 in either speed dial bin 45 or 49, or on the chaining screen in 990 or 991.
Yes that is a 99.999% WAG.
Good luck, Bunnie

Well Well Well... We seem to be barking up the wrong tree. I think he is using the #45 as the CO flash not as the speed dial bin. The first step is to take the voice mail outof the equasion. Simulate the flash transfer and see if the caller ID shows up at the distant end. My guess is that there is a timing issue but I'd never claim to be 99.999% sure. I'd like to see what the string is in the MBX that does the transfer. I could log in remotely and have this problem solved in 20 minutes. Hey Bunnie... I think you're one of my former students.

OK, lets kick it back a notch.
Do you have a laptop with Toshiba DK admin software?
Do you have a digit grabber?
Can you do the following speed dials from a display phone on each cabinet? Speed dial 45 Speed dial 49
Do either one of them read out the phone number to forward to when someone presses option 6? If so, please let us know.
Lets start with that. You didn't tell us you were a newbie, your question sounded like you were familiar with this system.
