I have inherited a Toshiba CTX 100 with no phones but I went ahead and bought some. I installed the CO trunks but the phones don't ring when a call comes thru, it only flashes. I am not familiarized with this system at all. Any help will be greatly appreciated. That is the only thing I am missing. Can I modify the smart media card in any way?

Does the line button flash red? Do you have eManager on a laptop for programming the system?

Yes. The line button flashes red when getting a call. No, I don't have eManager. Where can I get a copy of it? Is there any way I can do it from a display phone?

I think I would get hold of a dealer in your area, and schedule a service call to set up your CTX100 in a manner that would get it working to your specs. I think it would be a better deal for you in the long run. smile

Depending on what you want to spend, Phil has the best idea. The 100 is much, much more complicated than the older systems and you really need a laptop with emanager software to program using a crossover cable.

You probably could get the tech to load emanager on a laptop, XP office NOT XP home, SP2 and train you.

On my Dell 1100 I could not load it with ANY anti-virus, anti-adware, anti-spyware, even loaded and turned off. Other people have had different results, that was just mine.

You are venturing into a high tech area and you have to decide how much money and effort you want to put into it. Older DKs were a snap compared to the 100/672.

Also, depending on your situation, that might be a one-time expense if the tech gets it set up the way you want it.
